For Sale: extension tubes + 2x converter

C/Y fit Makinon extension tubes approx 20mm and 29mm. The larger is optionally a 2x converter - the optics being removable with a little key (included). Pretty old - 20 years?) but appears mint. Mechanical auto aperture etc. There is a case (bit bashed around). I used (from new) on a Contax 139 a handful of times.

I am considering ebaying it. Is anyone interested? do you know what it would be worth? if anything.

I also have a winder for a Contax 139.

Hi - welcome to the Forum.

The Makinon 2x Converter + Extension Tube is an unusual item and rare in the C/Y mount but it is unlikely to be of great value. Check out ebay item: 130334638192 - I assume this is the same as your set albeit with a different mount; imho I think he's set too high a price as I'd probably start at around £7.50. Having said that, you never know your luck on ebay - you may strike it lucky and it will only cost you £1 or so to find out... As for the 139 Winder, they do not usually fetch a fair price. Some complete idiot/optimist in the US has one on ebay at $289!!! That's ridiculous - even the German one at some £68 is way over the top... I've seen them sell for under £10 quite often - and that's with the leatherette in perfect condition. I'd probably set the start price at £9 - if it's in really good condition - and then see what happens.

My general advice would be to take some really top quality pics of both items, write a punchy description, and list them individually for a 10 day auction: upload your listing at around midnight on a Thursday - that way you get 2 weekend hits and it also gives you a better chance of being picked up by US/Canadian browsers. Set a lowish starting price as that encourages bidding... It's also worth reminding people that the 139 WinderII also fits the Yashica FX-D series and provides an extra shutter release button compared with the FX-D winder.

Of course, you might be lucky and someone on this Forum may want your gear. You might also think about the Manual Focus Forum but I think you need to have posted about 5 or 10 messages before you can get access to their 'Marketplace' pages.
